The Seyhan Review is a set of notes in English about Adana and the Çukurova, written by somebody who came for three days on the way somewhere else and has kept going back.

Adana is one of Turkey's largest cities and it appears in almost no English-language travel writing. What exists is either a paragraph about the kebab or a warning that it is hot. Both are true and neither is useful.

So the bias here is practical and unhurried: what is actually worth the trip out of the centre, which hours of the day are usable in summer, what to order and what to do when nobody on the street speaks your language. It is not a city that arranges itself for visitors, which is the best thing about it.
